How are You?

Why do people ask how you are when they don't really care for the answer? How did a question become a greeting and are we supposed to answer? Why is the answer usually positive even when we feel like crap? Is that just polite? I don't get it. If you don't care, don't ask.

Ode to a Lost Hash Brown

Don't you hate when you have a craving, and when you go to satisfy your inner monster, you can't get what you want? This happened to my friend this morning and she wrote a poem about it. Like to hear it? Here it goes...

Oh, Dunkin Donuts
You let me down
Because you didn’t have
My hash brown.
There’s something about
That shape—so round;
And the smooth taste
When it goes down.
I pray this smile
Won’t turn into a frown
All because I didn’t get
My hash brown.

Summer's End

the summer is coming to an end
the wind is blowing, trees will bend
the changing colors for new trends
the frost will come, squirrels will fend.

Scary Questions

You know what's great about the internet? You can find the topics that normal people don't talk about and questions that people are scared to ask their friends or family. You know, the personal ones where you get that "you're weird" look. Or even better the "I can't believe you asked that" look. I guess back in the day those questions went unanswered. Unless you're the bold type, and probably depending on the question, you saved them for your doctor or some other person. Someone who you don't really care if they think you're nuts. Well now we can turn to the world wide web. When you finally do the search, you find that there are others with the same question or same problem as you. So... you're not so weird after all. Or are you?
